Robert SabesNoel Bowman

Robert W. Sabes

CEO, M5 Management

Robert W. Sabes was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Mr. Sabes joined the American Fruit and Produce Company, a large family owned regional food distributor. Mr. Sabes served as Officer, Director and Manager in the Food Service Division from 1964 to 1976.

In 1976 Mr. Sabes formed his own restaurant management company, Hospitality Plus, Inc., that managed restaurants and clubs owned by Mr. Sabes. Mr. Sabes served as President and CEO of Hospitality Plus, a company that consulted, managed, financed and developed Indian gaming and other economic development opportunities with Indian tribes. Mr. Sabes was a Bruegger’s licensee for the Atlanta, GA area in the mid 1990’s. With his associates he built out three (3) units and a commissary. They were sold back to the parent company in the late 1990’s. In 2008 Mr. Sabes brought the minus5° Ice Bar concept to the United States from New Zealand. As the CEO of minus5° International, Mr. Sabes has funded and managed the expansion of the brand in the United States and currently operates two units in Las Vegas with plans to expand the brand to other major U.S. tourist destinations.

Mr. Sabes formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Restaurant Association, the Greater Minneapolis Hospitality Association and Oak Ridge Country Club. Currently, Mr. Sabes serves on the Jewish Federation Board of Greater Las Vegas, having become a Nevada resident in 2000.

Noel Bowman

President, M5 Management

Noel Bowman is a vested partner in minus5 ICEBAR and www.m5mgmt.com which owns and operates several dynamic F&B concepts. He serves as President for the last 12 years. Responsible for conceiving/pioneering the frozen ice attraction concept, Bowman has developed 5 locations Nationally and oversees all components. All locations are high profile sites located in major casino and resort properties, National hotels, and Real Estate developments. His creative vision and marketing skills have landed the brands several National TV spots including Live with Regis and Kelly, Travel Channel, Fox & Friends, Today Show, National Geographic, and Weather Channel. His strong work ethic and fun-loving attitude has proven to motivate staff and has created a team of go-getters.

Prior to developing the Ice Bar, New Bohemia & Truckpark, he contributed more than 23 years at Outback Steakhouse Inc., Bowman’s expertise includes taking the Outback brand from 2 to 900 units domestically and internation­ally as well as a hand in developing spin-off brands such as Carrabba’s, Flemings, Bonefish Grill building high-performance management teams, creating marketing strategies, public relations and all facets of operations. He spent a lot of time in Nevada bringing the Outback concepts to Las Vegas in the early ’90s. At the end of his Outback tenure, he held the position as Joint Venture Partner for the State of Florida and developed and marketed the OSI/Jimmy Buffett concept Cheeseburger in Paradise and oversaw several locations which yielded more than 18 million in annual sales. Bowman was appointed the organization’s
“Managing Partner of the Year” for five consecutive years. He grew up in New Orleans, LA, and attended Louisiana State University then moved to Orlando, Fl where he connected with Outback at its 2nd location in 1988.

Bowman’s passion to succeed has been the driving force behind his most significant achievements. He is happily married with 2 children and has resided in Las Vegas for close to 20 years. He is passionately involved in the Hospitality and Convention Industry and participates in his children’s youth sports and schools
